BEARING FAILURE ANALYSIS

Bearing failure analysis is the process of investigating and determining the underlying causes of bearing's premature failures.

It involves a systematic examination of failed bearings to identify the root causes and contributing factors that led to the breakdown. The goal of bearing failure analysis is to understand why the bearing failed and to implement corrective measures to prevent similar failures in the future.

The analysis typically involves various stages, including visual inspection, dimensional measurements, and assessment of wear patterns, as well as microscopic examination of the bearing surfaces. Other techniques such as metallurgical analysis, chemical analysis, and non-destructive testing may also be employed depending on the nature of the failure.
